Our Story

Our Founder Megan, has always had a sincere desire to care for and help others. However, it was whilst working at a nursing home during her college days, that she was first exposed to working with seniors with various cognitive impairments. This life changing experience ignited a deep sense of purpose that would soon guide her career. It led her to obtaining her CNA license, Medaide license, dementia practitioner certification and North Carolina Assisted Living Administrator certificate, along with her Master’s in Healthcare Administration. 

After many years of valuable experience, leading a memory care unit as well as working with memory care residents firsthand, Megan came to the realization that there was an opportunity to create a more unique experience for residents than that encountered in a traditional facility setting; An approach that would emphasize a more individual centric style and deliver the detailed attention to lifestyle that these remarkable people deserve. This led her to founding The Post at Providence and The Post at Mint Hill; an assisted living home where we believe strongly in the concept of joining each resident’s unique journey and meeting them at the specific point in which they find themselves in their lives. 

With several years of education, training and access to the latest best practices research in caring for those with dementia, we are confident in our ability to provide the highest degree of service to you or a loved one. Our goals are to improve quality of life, treat everyone with respect and compassion and help our residents enjoy each moment in their lives.
